September 2-No School-Labor Day
Math: We will be solving story problems by adding and subtracting two digit numbers. We will be figuring out how many more to get to 100 and 200. We will also be making numbers using hundreds, tens, and ones.
Spelling: Our spelling words are all plural this week.

Language Arts: We will be learning about sequencing and compound words. We will also be learning about subjects and predicates in complete sentences.
Our vocabulary words this week are: carpenter, carpetmaker, knowledge, marketplace, merchant, plenty, straying, and thread.
Social Studies: We will be learning about communities and their sizes: rural, suburban, and urban.
Reading: Our reading story of the week is: What About Me?
Handwriting: We will be learning how to write a cursive lowercase k.
Writing: We will be writing a fable that has a moral.
