September 16-20

Math: We will review hundreds, tens, and ones and how many more to get to 100. We will have our first math test. We will also learn to estimate if numbers are more or less than 100. We will be learning a new game to help us practice that new skill.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week all have long vowel digraphs.

Language Arts: Will be learning to compare and contrast. We will also be learning about facts and opinions. We will learn about imperative (commands) and exclamatory (exclamation) sentences.
Our vocabulary words this week are: laundry, section, shelves, spoiled, store, thousands, traded, and variety.

Reading: Our story of the week is Supermarket.

Writing: We will be learning to write a description.

Social Studies: We will continue to learn about communities. We will learn about members of a community and why people move to and from communities.

Handwriting: We will learn lowercase cursive a.

We will be having our first fire drill this week!
