September 12-16

Math: We will continue solving story problems. We will learn a new math game: Close to 100.

Spelling: Our spelling words all have suffixes this week.

occurred   supplying   scarier      happiest

Language Arts: We will be learning the following literacy elements: character and setting. We will be learning about base words with suffixes. We will also learn about declarative (telling) and interrogative (asking) sentences. We will continue working on sequencing and ABC order.

Social Studies: We will read a weekly reader about politics.

Science: We will learn how large natural events effect forests.

Reading: Our reading story this week is Kumak's Fish.

Handwriting: We will be learning to write lowercase cursive h and k.

Writing: We will write fables with a moral.
