December 2-6

Math: We will learn how to round to the nearest ten and hundred. We will continue working with numbers to 1,000 and practice adding those numbers.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week all have prefixes.
unhappy        recall           disappear             unload            mistake

rewrite          unroll           unknown              dishonest        react
unfortunate    discourage    uncomfortable      recycle           mispronounce

Language Arts: We will be learning about character, setting, and plot. We will also learn about main and helping verbs. We will review contractions and comparing and contrasting.

Our vocabulary words this week are: poked, overhead, antlers, languages, imagined, and narrator.

Reading: Our story of the week is Pushing Up the Sky

Writing: We will write a play about Christmas.

Science: We will finish up learning about food chains. We will begin discussing how people and animals affect the environment.

Handwriting: We will review all of the cursive letters we have learned so far.
