September 11-15

Math: We will continue solving story problems. We will also be playing our math games: Capture 5, Collect $2, and Close to 100.

Spelling: Our spelling words all have suffixes this week.

Language Arts: We will be learning the following literacy elements: character and setting. We will be learning about base words with suffixes. We will also learn about declarative (telling) and interrogative (asking) sentences. We will continue working on sequencing and ABC order.

Social Studies: We will have a guest speaker from the Dakotah Prairie Museum come to teach us about Aberdeen's history.

Science: We will learn how forests change.

Reading: Our reading story this week is Kumak's Fish.

Handwriting: We will be learning to write cursive h.

Writing: We will write fables with a moral.
