January 25-29

Math: We will be comparing the area of shapes that have the same perimeter. We will also be comparing the perimeter of shapes that have the same area. We will begin learning about triangles.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week are all irregular plural words.
wolves       knives       feet           men         children

Language Arts: We will learn how to generalize and use graphic sources. We will also learn about singular and plural pronouns. Our vocabulary words this week are: terrible, study, sports, popular, guard, basketball, disease, and freeze. Reading: Our story of the week is The Man Who Invented Basketball.

Writing: We will finish our autobiographies and begin a Groundhog Day project.

Social Studies: We will finish learning about map components.

Science: We will learn how living things affect the environment.

Handwriting: We will learn cursive n.
