October 14-18

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY!!

Math: We will be learning to collect and graph data. We will also learn how to read and make bar graphs. We will also learn about double bar graphs.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week all end in -le.

Language Arts: We will be learning about the literacy element plot and singular and plural nouns. We will be reviewing how to compare and contrast.

Our vocabulary words this week are: trophies, mention, mature, iguana, exactly, compassionate, and adorable.

Reading: Our story of the week is I Wanna Iguana.

Writing: We will be finishing our realistic fiction stories and starting to write fairy tales.

Science: We will be continuing to learn about plants, and hopefully have time to do a couple experiments with them.

Handwriting: We will learn the lowercase cursive c.

Social Studies: We will learn how to read maps and learn the main parts of a map: scale, key, interval.
