September 4-8

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY!

Math: We will be solving story problems by adding and subtracting two digit numbers. We will be figuring out how many more to get to 100 and 200. We will also be making numbers using hundreds, tens, and ones. We will play 2 math games, Collect $2 and Close to 100. We will be taking our first math test!

Spelling: Our spelling words are all plural this week.

Language Arts: We will be learning about sequencing and compound words. We will also be learning about subjects and predicates in complete sentences.

Reading: Our reading story of the week is: What About Me?

Handwriting: We will be learning how to write a cursive l.

August 28-September 1

Math: We will be adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers. We will be figuring out how many more it will take to get to 100 and 200. We will learn two math games, Capture 5 and Collect $2.

Spelling: Our spelling words all have short vowel sounds this week.

Handwriting: We will learn how to write cursive e.

Writing: We will write a personal narrative about losing power.

First Week of School

Open House will be held Monday night from 6:30-7:30.

School begins on Tuesday, August 22th. There is an 11:30 dismissal.

We will be doing many back to school and get to know you activities the first week.

Math:  We will also begin our math curriculum. We will start by adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers.

Writing:  We will write a story that follows our school theme: Under the Sea.

Science: We will learn about Ecosystems.
