***Christmas Program***

The Christmas program will be December 8th at 9:30 and 1:30 in the school gym. Hope to see you there.

November 28-December 2

Math: We will continue working on solving story problems using different strategies. We will learn a new math game, Capture on the 300 Chart.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week are all contractions.

Language Arts: We will be learning how to draw conclusions and find the author's purpose in stories we read. We will also learn about action and linking verbs. We will review consonant digraphs and homophones.

Our vocabulary words this week are: raisin, area, raise, artificial, proof, grapevine, and preservative.

Reading: Our story of the week is How Do You Raise a Raisin?

Writing: We will finish our pet reindeer stories.

Science: NSU biology students will be coming to teach us about genetics.

Social Studies: We will have 2 volunteers from Dakotah Bank come to our class as part of the Junior Achievement program. They will be teaching us about our community.

Handwriting: We will learn lowercase curse g.
