April 27-May 1

Math: We will continue learning about fractions. We will begin to use calculators to relate those fractions to decimals.

Spelling: Our spelling words are all review words this week.

Language Arts: We have an interactive review week in language. We will review everything we've learned over the past 5 weeks.

Writing: We will begin a spring writing project about making wishes.

Science; We will finish learning about natural resources.

The Last 2 Weeks of School...

We used pattern blocks to help turn hexagons into as many different fractions as we could.






We were pretty happy when testing was over! 




April 20-24

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY!

LITERACY DAY ON FRIDAY FROM 1:30-2:30! Join your child at school to complete some literacy activities about haikus. You may take your child home at 2:30 when we're done.

Math: We will continue learning about fractions and playing a game to go along with them.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week all have suffixes.

REMINDER

Smarter Balanced testing starts on Monday the 13th!

April 13-17

Math: We will continue working with fractions. We will learn a new math game to go along with them as well. We will introduce decimals on a calculator.

We will not be doing spelling or language arts this week due to standardized testing.

Handwriting: We will learn uppercase cursive I.

Writing: We will write circus thank you letters. We will also begin a writing project about Earth Day.

Science: We will learn about natural resources.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week all have vowel patterns, ei or eigh.

We will take another practice test to help get ready for the Smarter Balanced test coming up.

Last Week in School...

We made a collection of fractions out of construction paper.

We went on an Easter egg hunt with our Kindergarten buddies!
