Last Week in School...

We solved math problems using many different strategies.

Special Events

On Tuesday the 27th, our class will be going to the Civic Arena to watch the Keigwin Dance Company. We will be leaving the school at 12:30.

On Wednesday the 28th, will with have the monthly character assembly. One of the students in our class will be chosen to represent the trait of responsibility. Check back next week to see who was chosen!

January 26-30

Math: We will continue working on multiplication. We will find multiples of 6, 4, and 8. Will will introduce arrays.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week are all r-controlled words.

Language Arts: We will learn how to find the main idea in stories and use graphic sources. We will also learn about subject and object pronouns. January 19-23

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Math: We will continue to learn more about multiplication. We will introduce the term multiples and find multiples of single digit numbers. We will then relate those multiples to multiplication.

Spelling: Our spelling words this week are all irregular plural words.

Last Week in School...

We created Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. projects. We summarized his dream and then wrote a dream of our own.




We had another day of indoor recess where we loved playing Just Dance to burn off some energy!

The Last Few Weeks of School...

We finished up Junior Achievement. 
Mrs. Martyn and Mrs. Kappas from Dacotah Bank we our volunteers.

 

A couple Aberdeen Wings players came to our class and read us some Christmas stories.


 Mrs. Fosher's 8th Graders came over to help us finish up a writing activity before Christmas break. We wrote about how to make the Grinch grin.




Mr. and Mrs. Claus surprised us in our classroom on the last day of school before Christmas break. They brought each of us and our Kindergarten buddies a candy cane!



We worked in small groups to build quadrilaterals in math.




 We played Just Dance during indoor recess, so we could burn off some energy.



These 6 students had a celebration because they stayed in Homework Club for the entire month of December! Way to go!


 We wrote New Year's resolutions and made a craft to go along with them.
