Last Week in School...
We had a character assembly. Anjali won the character trait of respect. The class earned the golden award for art class.
In math, we made shape posters. Each shape has to have an area of 4 square units.
In math, we used colored tiles to help us find the area of shapes.
We partner read our story of the week, Fly, Eagle, Fly.
In sign language, we practiced the signs we know in sentences.

REMINDER- NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY AND FRIDAY!
Math: We will continue working on finding area. We discover shapes that have the same perimeter but different areas.
Spelling: Our spelling words this week all have three consonants in the middle.

Last Week in School...
We drew many different shapes with a perimeter of 100 units.
We worked with partners to build tetronimoes.
We worked with small groups to discover which tetronimoes perfectly fit on a 8x10 array.
We worked with partners to find places on a grid map.
We made Valentine's Day boxes.
We listened to our grammar jammer, and these boys wanted to get up and dance!
We celebrated Valentine's Day with our Kindergarten buddies. We had treats and played tic-tac-toe.
